Physiotherapist

To ensure a high standard, efficient and effective physiotherapy assessment treatment and intervention for all patients for whom he/she is responsible. To assess and treat and manage own caseload of patients as an autonomous practitioner, including the maintenance of comprehensive records. To work as an effective team member, communicating appropriately with patients, carers and other team members as required. To supervise physiotherapy assistants and may be involved in teaching MDT staff. To undertake an evidence-based project throughout each rotation to further the clinical practice of self and the team, and to enhance patient care., To provide Physiotherapy assessment and treatment to patients on a designated case load. To use clinical reasoning to ensure provision of an evidenced based physiotherapy. To attend multidisciplinary meetings, family meetings, board rounds. Ensure that Physiotherapy management of a patient is integrated into the MDT management, treatment and discharge plans. To advise, guide and delegate to Physiotherapy assistants. To support quality improvement and continuing professional development. Establish good team working with Physiotherapy colleagues and MDT. Effective communication skills.
