Full Job Description

  • Independent management of acute and routine presentations within agreed scope

  • Same-day and pre-booked appointments (face-to-face, telephone, and online)
  • Requesting and interpreting investigations
  • Developing and reviewing management plans in collaboration with supervising GPs
  • Contributing to clinical decision-making within the MDT

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Physician Associate to become part of our clinical team. This role is ideally suited to a PA with strong primary care experience, who is confident in assessing and managing undifferentiated presentations. The successful candidate will also have a particular interest and expertise in chronic disease management, working collaboratively under appropriate GP supervision.

The Elms Surgery is a forward-thinking, well-established GP practice caring for approximately 9000 patients. We have a strong multidisciplinary team including experienced 3 GPs, 5 Physician Associates, a Clinical Pharmacist, first contact physiotherapist, and social prescriber. Clinicians are supported by an efficient and friendly Admin & Reception team.
  • We value continuity of care, clinical excellence, and staff wellbeing. The practice is based in Central Watford with excellent road, train and bus links.
