Independent management of acute and routine presentations within agreed scope
Management of long terms conditions and chronic diseases (e.g. asthma, diabetes, COPD, hypertension, frailty, dementia, LD)
Same-day and pre-booked appointments (face-to-face, telephone, and online)
Requesting and interpreting investigations
Developing and reviewing management plans in collaboration with supervising GPs
Contributing to clinical decision-making within the MDT
Supporting and mentoring less experienced PAs or trainees if required
Participation in audits, QI projects, and practice development
Accurate and timely clinical documentation using EMIS

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Physician Associate to become part of our clinical team. This role is ideally suited to a PA with strong primary care experience, who is confident in assessing and managing undifferentiated presentations. The successful candidate will also have a particular interest and expertise in chronic disease management, working collaboratively under appropriate GP supervision.

The Elms Surgery is a forward-thinking, well-established GP practice caring for approximately 9000 patients. We have a strong multidisciplinary team including experienced 3 GPs, 5 Physician Associates, a Clinical Pharmacist, first contact physiotherapist, and social prescriber. Clinicians are supported by an efficient and friendly Admin & Reception team.
