Full Job Description
We are looking to recruit a Band 4 Phlebotomy Supervisor to expand our team working across Basildon and Thurrock University Hospital, Southend University Hospital, Broomfield Hospital and other local community clinics throughout South Essex.
As a Phlebotomy Supervisor you will be responsible for the day-to-day supervision of phlebotomy staff in outpatients, wards and the community (including domiciliary).
You will be expected to work across all sites and ,shifts are variable between 6.15am and 7pm Monday to Friday with regular weekends on a rotational basis., The Phlebotomy Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day delivery of the Phlebotomy service, providing leadership, support and development to the team. The role manages staffing, rotas, training, performance and absence, while ensuring high standards of quality, safety and patient care. The postholder will monitor service performance, contribute to continuous improvement and deputise for and support the Phlebotomy Manager as required.
This role is ideally suited for someone who is experienced, caring, friendly and would like to be a part of a team that contributes towards patient care. You will need excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work and communicate with a large team across multiple sections.
A full driving licence and access to your own vehicle is essential, as you will be required to travel to a variety of community clinic locations.
