An exciting opportunity has arisen for the position of Phlebotomist- Bank staff The University Hospital of North Midlands, Mid Cheshire and East Cheshire NHS Trusts work in partnership as North Midlands and Cheshire Pathology Service. We are looking for a confident, reliable and well presented individual to join our Phlebotomy team. We offer a Phlebotomy service in a range of locations across Staffordshire and Cheshire including hospital and community bookable clinics. Based at Leighton, the successful applicant will be an integral part of the phlebotomy rota and expected to provide day to day supervision of the phlebotomy team in all of the above locations., We are the specialist centre for major trauma for the North Midlands and North Wales.   • NVQ /QCF level 2 /apprenticeship level 2 or equivalent in related subject or GCSE English and maths at C grade or above or equivalent, GCSE at grade c or above or equivalent in a science subject
  • Care related NVQ, Evidence of manual dexterity and technical work
  • Experience of working as part of a team.

  • Previous work involving Phlebotomy
  • Work in a healthcare role or similar, Ability to work to defined protocols and seek advice where appropriate
  • Basic Keyboard Skills
  • Good written communication skills, Must have transport and be able to travel to outreach/walk-in phlebotomy clinics

    We offer a phlebotomy service in a range of locations across North Midlands including Royal Stoke and County Hospitals, ward based, community walk-in centres and community appointment based clinics.
