Phlebotomist

The successful candidate will be responsible for running daily phlebotomy clinics. They will be required to ensure all samples that require hospital analysis are correctly labelled and logged, have the necessary completed paperwork and are ready in time for collection by the courier. Previous experience is desirable but not essential, as full training, support, and guidance will be provided. They must be enthusiastic and motivated, have excellent communication skills and work well within a team., The purpose of the role is to work under the direct supervision of the Senior HCA(s) / Lead Nurse(s) and strictly in accordance with specific practice guidelines and protocols, the post-holder will be responsible for performing venepuncture to obtain blood samples from patients only as the result of a direct referral from a GP or Advanced Nurse Practitioner.
