To be part of the Phlebotomy team to perform venepuncture (the piercing /
puncturing of veins) and blood collection.
To extract blood samples from patients in a manner that makes the blood sample suitable for analytical, therapeutic or diagnostic testing and purpose for both our inpatients & outpatient services., The James Paget University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust recognises the requirement to promote health and reduce ill-health.
