PhD Placement - Institute of Health and Wellbeing Research PhD Placement - Institute of Health and Wellbeing Research The fully funded research placement will aim to investigate how faith and community organisations can act as catalysts for increasing physical activity, improving engagement with preventive health services, and reducing health inequalities amongst underserved populations.Although the specific research focus will be formed by the successful candidate, the long-term hope is that this research will contribute towards scaling this model of work and policy influencing locally and nationally. Although the specific research focus will be formed by the successful candidate, the long-term hope is that this research will contribute towards scaling this model of work and policy influencing locally and nationally. The student will be situated within the Centre for Health, Wellbeing and Behaviour Change within the University of Bedfordshire with a team of academic supervisors. The PhD is being jointly funded by the university and Be Active as part of the place partnership work funded by Sport England.The award includes:

• Full Home doctoral tuition fees for three years.
• Annual tax-free maintenance stipend (equivalent to UKRI rates).
• Research expenses and conference support.
• Access to advanced research training and professional development opportunities.
