Full Job Description

Tadley Court School are seeking to appoint an outstanding Phase Lead to join our successful and forward-thinking school. This post will suit candidates experienced in 6th Form with an experience in SEN. This position is for a September 2026 start. You will be responsible for driving pupil progress, mentoring staff, and maintaining high teaching standards within your specific education stage. Tadley Court School is a specialist school and has an Ofsted rating of Good with Outstanding features. Our school is set in a beautiful semi-rural location with four acres of well-maintained grounds. We are a day school specialising in the education and care of children and young people between the age of 4 and 19 years who all have a formal Autism diagnosis and either SLD or MLD. We have a healthy referral stream that proudly and successfully delivers values-led education. We are known for our career progression routes and we attract professionals who are willing to contribute to our sustained success whilst embracing our family-ethos. The school have benefited from significant development which is due to continue ahead of the new academic year in September 2025. All of our students have ASD & SLD; and require patient staff willing to use an holistic and therapeutic approach.   • The Phase Leader will have key accountabilities for:
  • To support, hold accountable, develop, and lead the phase team to secure high-quality teaching, the effective use of resources, and high standards of learning and achievement for all pupils in our 6th Form.
  • To be a member of the school Leadership Team and make a significant contribution to the strategic development and direction of the school.
  • To work with the Leadership Team to secure progress for all pupils particularly in your phase.
  • To support, develop and coach teaching and learning across your year groups, so that there is consistently good or better teaching across the phase.
  • To lead and co-ordinate assessment across your phase.
  • Essential qualifications and skills:
  • Qualified Teacher status (QTS)
  • Clear communication/questioning skills - precise approach to written communication
  • ICT competent - Able to use IWB
  • Right to Work in the UK
