Pharmacy Technicians

The Pharmacy Technician is an integral member of the general practice team, working within professional boundaries across practices within the PCN. The role operates under the supervision of the PCN Clinical Pharmacists to support the safe, accurate and timely use of prescribed medicines. The postholder will provide technical and clinical support to Clinical Pharmacists and clinicians with the practices, including responding to medication-related queries, undertaking medicines reconciliation following care transitions and supporting prescribing safety through audits and data presentation. The role may also involve patient-facing work, including the delivery of technician-led clinics where appropriate. Pharmacy Technicians play a key role within the PCNs multidisciplinary team, contributing across clinical, technical, and administrative functions to support effective medicines optimisation and improve patient outcomes.
