It is an exciting time to join the pharmacy team at MKUH as we are continually growing in size and influence. We have recently undergone a major departmental refurbishment, with the opening of a new Pharmacy and Aseptic Unit in our Cancer Centre.

An exciting career development opportunity has arisen for a skilled MMT, with an interest in cancer care, to join our busy, forward-looking and innovative pharmacy service to deliver a key role in supporting and expanding pharmaceutical care for our Cancer patients.You will work alongside the Clinical Pharmacists for Cancer Services to manage the medicines management needs of our Oncology and Haematology patients. In addition to providing ward and day-unit based pharmacy services you will gain experience of undertaking quality improvement and audit work, championing medicines optimisation and safety initiatives and working alongside the cancer pharmacists to support the wider cancer team with any medicines related issues.Are you the person to help us deliver high quality care for our cancer patients? To participate in a comprehensive pharmaceutical service to the Cancer Centre Day unit and to the Cancer Ward.To assist clinical pharmacists with the day to day running of the medicines management service to the Cancer centre Day unit and the Ward.To act as an operational link between the pharmacy teams and the chemotherapy day unit, out-patient and the cancer ward.To communicate with clinical pharmacists, pharmacy aseptic staff and with the multidisciplinary team to facilitate seamless care for patients.
