We have an exciting opportunity for a qualified pharmacy technician to join Beacons dedicated Pharmacy team.
This is an interesting and challenging role, pivotal to the patient care for a qualified pharmacy technician to be involved with delivering an innovative digital project to improve hypertension management and processes at the practice alongside daily clinics, medication audits,reviews and other various tasks suitable for the role.

The role is 32 hours per week, over 4 days, or can be split in to 2x 16 hour posts, each over 2.5 day per week.
We are a forward thinking, single practice PCN, based in Plympton and Ivybridge (Devon). We have a list size of 43,000 patients. This has allowed us to recognise the skills and knowledge within our Group and expand our team further by adding a multitude of clinical skills which allows us to offer our patients the best care. To ensure job security, the practice employs all members of the PCN., To support the practice team to ensure the delivery of safe, effective and efficient systems for repeat prescribing, medicines optimisation, reducing medicines waste and maximising patient outcomes.
The Pharmacy Technician will resolve prescription related issues and encourage better pharmaceutical understanding with patients and staff throughout the primary healthcare team including GPs, prescription clerks, patient advisors, nurses, and external community organisations.
Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, your role will support improvement, quality and safety of all aspects relating to the prescribing of medicines within the practice.
The post holder will be part of the wider Beacon Medical Group team and will work effectively alongside other teams and clinicians within the Group in a professional manner to nurture a spirit of collaborative team working. Develop positive working relationships with colleagues and external stakeholders. Be encouraging and supportive to colleagues across the Group to help promote a positive working environment.
