Full Job Description
The Pharmacy at St Peter's Hospital have an exciting opportunity for a friendly and well organised individual to join our department as a Pharmacy Porter.
We are a busy Pharmacy department and your role will involve you supporting the Pharmacy team with an efficient, timely and safe delivery service of pharmacy goods to all areas of the hospital
You will be working in a team alongside Pharmacy Assistants, Senior Assistants, Pharmacy Technicians and Pharmacists. The core working hours are 08:30 to 18:30, Monday to Friday., The post holder will be able to organise own workload, while working under supervision, to ensure relevant tasks areprioritised according to the department's schedule of work.
To be responsible for the safe delivery of pharmacy goods to all areas of the Trust. This will include ward stock, bulk fluids, special feeds and controlled drugs.
You will carry out your duties supervised by qualified staff and contribute to the development of pharmacy services. You will promote the highest of standards of professional practice, whilst observing at all times the "statement on professional Conduct" issued by the GPhC.
You will be required to follow all legal and departmental practices including Standard Operating procedures (SOPs) as well as COSHH and lifting and handling regulations and all Trust Policies and Procedures.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills to be able to effectively work alongside staff of all grades throughout the Hospital. You will be hard working and keen to learn and have the ability to prioritise work.
