Pharmacy Delivery Driver

Join our dedicated Patient Experience and Voluntary Services Team and make a real difference in your community. We are looking for compassionate and reliable volunteer pharmacy delivery drivers to help deliver essential medication and equipment directly to patients homes, ensuring they receive the care they need when they need it. This role is vital in supporting patients who may be unable to collect items themselves, helping improve their experience and wellbeing. You'll be a part of a friendly and supportive team committed to providing outstanding service., Volunteer Pharmacy Delivery Drivers play a vital role in helping patients return home from hospital safely and without unnecessary delay. By delivering urgent medication and essential equipment directly to patients' homes, volunteers help ensure patients have everything they need to continue their care and recovery at home. This valuable service supports timely hospital discharges, improves patient flow and contributes to a positive patient experience. We are looking for reliable, compassionate individuals with a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle. Volunteers should be confident driving across the local area and available to collect and deliver items at agreed times, typically between 4pm and 8pm, seven days a week. The role requires flexibility, as priorities can change, and the ability to remain calm and professional when dealing with unexpected situations. As a representative of the Trust, you will communicate respectfully with patients, carers and staff, maintain confidentiality, uphold Trust values and behaviours, and present a professional appearance. You will work both independently and as part of a supportive team. Full training and ongoing support will be provided, including any mandatory and role-specific training required for the role. In return, you will gain valuable experience, meet new people and make a genuine difference to patients and their families. Mileage expenses are reimbursed in-line with current HMRC rates.

• A full, clean driving license and access to a reliable vehicle.
• Ability to travel across Barnsley and occasionally to other local sites.
