Pharmacy Assistant Technical Officer - Pharmacy Aseptic Services Unit

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our busy but friendly Pharmacy Aseptic Services Unit at Cheltenham General Hospital. As part of the 3 Counties Cancer Network (3 CCN), our aseptic services unit prepares chemotherapy for patients from Gloucestershire and surrounding areas. We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated pharmacy assistant to join our growing production team at a very exciting time as we move into a brand new, purpose-built aseptic unit., The post holder will participate in the provision of a safe and efficient aseptic production service, whilst ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation, good practice and quality standards.

The post holder will support all aspects of the pharmacy aseptic services unit, for example, cleaning, handling, receipting, dispensing, aseptic preparation, storage and disposal.

The post holder will be responsible for providing support to the pharmacists and other technical staff within the department, assisting in the provision of a high-quality service to patients, staff and the wider Trust.

The post holder will demonstrate the Trust values and personal attributes to ensure this service is efficient and can be held accountable for responsibilities outlined.

The post holder will adhere to Standard Operating Procedures, guidelines and Trust procedures and policies.
