Full Job Description

This is an integrated Pharmacy Assistant role designed to provide flexible support across the Pharmacy Department. The post holder will work collaboratively within the dispensary, distribution, and ward-based stock management teams, ensuring the safe, efficient, and effective supply of medicines throughout the organisation.,

Duties will include dispensing support activities, receipt and distribution of pharmaceutical stock, stock replenishment and maintenance of ward medicines cupboards, and contributing to the smooth operation of pharmacy services. The role requires the ability to work across multiple workstreams, adapting to service needs while maintaining high standards of accuracy, patient safety, and customer service.

Successful applicants with no pharmacy experience will start at Band 2 until competition of training course upon which will move to Band 3.

You will be joining our friendly and supportive team and working in a positive and caring environment. The main hospital site is on the outskirts of the seaside town of Torquay. With easy access to the beautiful countryside and stunning coastline of Devon and Cornwall it is a great place to live and work.
