Pharmacy Assistant -Aseptic Services

Please note this role is currently only being advertised to staff members who are currently working within the Kent and Medway ICS. The Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust is currently seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to join their Aseptic Services Pharmacy Department at Tunbridge Wells Hospital. The position available is for a Band 2/3 Aseptic Services Pharmacy Assistant within the Oncology Pharmacy Team. Key Responsibilities: Delivery Management: Assist in managing the delivery of products across trust sites, ensuring appropriate storage conditions are maintained. Aseptic Unit Maintenance: Perform extensive cleaning of the aseptic unit on a sessional, daily, and weekly basis to meet Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards., Assist with the maintenance and cleaning of the Aseptic facility and Isolators. Assist with the preparation of aseptically prepared medication. Support the daily stock level checks of drugs and consumables within the aseptic department and using a picking list generated via the JAC pharmacy system replenish stock of drugs and consumables as required. Assist in the receipt and correct storage for dose banded products and outsourced patient specific SACT's Assist with the dispensing of dose banded product Support the streamlined delivery service of SACT's to clinics and /or wards ensuring appropriate storage conditions are maintained and relevant paperwork / delivery tracking systems is completed.

No prior experience is necessary as specialist training of 6-12 months is provided. Work towards approved qualification relevant to the job role, e.g Level 2 Certificate in Pharmacy Services Skills. Hold the qualifications and grades in Maths and English as specified in the job description. • GCSE Grade C or above in English Language and Maths, Previous experience in stock control and ordering, Experience in cleaning an aseptic unit and isolators
• Working knowledge of Pharmacy JAC system
• Working knowledge of SACT's treatment, Ability to plan, prioritise and organise workload and refer problems as appropriate
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Good command of the English language and maths
