Full Job Description
As a Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice, you will support the day-to-day running of the pharmacy, helping customers and working closely with the pharmacy team to ensure safe and efficient service.
You will complete a Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship alongside your role, with full training and support provided.
Key duties include:
Supporting customers at the medicines counter and responding to queries
Assisting with the preparation and supply of prescriptions (under supervision)
Handling stock, deliveries and maintaining accurate records
Using pharmacy systems to process prescriptions and sales
Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, health & safety and confidentiality
Working as part of a team to ensure excellent customer service
A genuine interest in healthcare and working with people
Strong communication and customer service skills
Good attention to detail and willingness to learn
Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
Reliable, punctual and professional
Basic IT skills
No previous pharmacy experience is required full training is provided.
Apprenticeship details:
Qualification: Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship, GCSEs at A-C or 4-9 or equivalent, in Maths and English desired but not essential as can be provided as part of the course.
For applicants without Maths and English Level 2 or equivalent qualifications, employment will be offered on condition of completing initial Maths and English tests to determine suitability for the course.

Pharmacy Services Assistant Level 2 (GCSE) and Functional Skills if required.
Duration: Typically 15 months

Full time candidate, Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 6:00pm, Saturday from 9:00am to 5:30pm, and is closed on Sundays
