Full Job Description
We are looking for a kind, reliable, and compassionate female Personal Assistant to support a lady living with Parkinson's. The aim of the role is to ensure her safety, dignity, comfort and independence at home., Location: NR 1Job DescriptionSupport with medication routinesAssist with mobility and transfers (chair, bathroom, bed)Supporting with evening routines, personal careHelping with light household tasks and meal/snack preparationMonitor symptoms such as freezing or dyskinesiaSupporting short outings or appointments when neededProviding companionship, emotional support and reassuranceAny other reasonable duties as requested.
Person specificationEssential:Someone with patience, compassion, positive attitude and respectful approachThe person I employ must have an understanding of the need for confidentiality in all areas of work, including total respect for my privacy.Due to the nature of the role and personal care aspects, applications are open to female applicants only.Desirable:Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.Flexibility in working hours to accommodate the individual's needs.Training in moving and handling (or willingness to learn)
Summary of terms and conditionsThe pay rate for this position is £13.50 per hour for employed PAs and £16.30 per hour for self-employed PAs.Hours and times of work: 14.5 hours per week. Time discussed further at interview.The annual holiday entitlement for this position will be equivalent to the work I would normally expect to be done during 5.6 consecutive weeks. The post is subject to the following:A satisfactory enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, the cost of which will be covered by the employer.Satisfactory references from two referees, one of whom must be your current or last employer.Completion of a satisfactory probationary period of 6 months Services
