Full Job Description
We are seeking two trustworthy and friendly male Personal Assistants (PA) to support a gentleman with health and mobility needs. This role is about enabling independence and helping someone live life to the fullest while maintaining dignity and choice.,
- Prompting to take medication.
- Support to access the community: driving me in my mobility vehicle to places such as the garden centre and football.
- Light meal preparation.
- Support to remain independent., Hours and days of work: 5 hours per week, plus flexible cover
- The annual holiday entitlement for this position will be equivalent to the work I would normally expect to be done during 5.6 consecutive weeks (calculated based on annual hours worked).
- Free training for all staff via Flick Learning.
- If this job requires any of the following: manual handling, handling of hazardous chemicals (e.g. household cleaning products), food handling, handling of medication. You will be required to undertake annual training. The post is subject to the following:
- A satisfactory Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check, the cost of which will be covered by the employer.
- Satisfactory references from two referees, one of which must be your current or last employer.

I am a sociable gentleman who enjoys gardening and football and will soon be joining a wheelchair football team. I require support with showering and dressing, prompting medication, and assistance to access the community by driving me to places such as football matches and garden centres. At home, I would like someone who can work alongside me on household tasks rather than doing everything for me, so I can remain as independent as possible. A good sense of humour is essential, as I cope best with light-hearted conversation and positivity.
