Full Job Description
A compassionate, reliable and dependable female Personal Assistant is required to support a lovely lady with a significant physical disability and complex heath needs to live independently in her own home. My client is a full-time electric wheelchair user and requires support with all aspects of her morning routine. She enjoys reading and watching tv documentaries. Duties will include:
- Assisting with getting out of bed using a ceiling hoist and other specialist equipment
- Providing personal care with dignity and respect
- Assisting with washing, dressing and preparing for the day
- Supporting with continence care
- Preparing breakfast and drinks if required
- Carrying out light household tasks related to the employer's care and wellbeing
- Providing reassurance and person-centred support while promoting independence wherever possible The employer experiences significant fatigue and has complex health needs, so a calm, patient and understanding approach is essential., This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference by supporting someone to remain safe, comfortable and independent in their own home. Hours are as above and to be agreed with the employer. Please note that this post is open to female applicants only.
