Full Job Description

To provide high quality support, companionship, personal and social assistance to a young girl with Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, Learning Difficulties and Sensory Processing Syndrome.
To act as a highly professional, proactive, and safe carer and companion who will sensitively and compassionately provide a range of assistance, companionship and personal care.

ABOUT YOU
Individual is 10 years old and is Autistic with learning impairment, has ADHD and Sensory Processing issues. Developmentally she is currently working at a Year 1/2 level. She is brilliant, noisy, nosey, boisterous and fun. She is also anxious, bossy, sometimes scared and worries about others more than the average child. She is compassionate and caring to others.

Individual is mad about women's football and is a massive fan of Manchester United Women's team. She regularly attends their games at Leigh Sports Village but finds Old Trafford a little overwhelming. Her favourite player is the Goalkeeper, Phallon Tullis-Joyce. However, playing football and role-playing games around football, can lead to her becoming overstimulated. This is a challenge we are working through as a family.

She enjoys swimming and tries hard when she goes to the pool. She's gradually making progress.
She and Mummy both got roller skates for Christmas and this is something she is keen to explore.

Individual struggles to play age appropriately and instead gravitates towards younger children. She likes to be mother hen! She can struggle with turn taking. Because of this she struggles to make peer friendships. She spends a lot of time playing with Mum and Dad and struggles to play independently.
