Personal Assistant - Temporary Maternity Cover (Female Only) Ref 2754

The young girl you'll be supporting enjoys music, lights, sensory activities and spending time with people who genuinely enjoy being around children. You'll be shown by her and her family how best to communicate with her and how to understand her needs-your support will grow naturally as you learn together.

As the weather improves, there'll be more opportunities to get out and about for family activities.

Your Responsibilities:

Training will be provided for all tasks, which include:
Supporting with medication
Epilepsy care
Following a feeding regime
Support with a bedtime routine
Using a hoist and safe moving & handling
Helping with hair plaiting or painting nails if she fancies it
The family are looking for a person who is:

Warm, caring and non-judgemental
Patient and a good listener
Reliable and trustworthy
Comfortable and enjoys working closely with children and families
Willing to learn and follow guidance
An Enhanced DBS and references will be required.

Hours & Flexibility

Up to 12 hours per week (Monday-Friday, outside school hours)
There will be some school pick-up's needed at 3:15pm
Days can be flexible, to be agreed with the family
Occasional weekend support may be needed
