I'm a massive football fan, especially Newcastle United (although with some of the results, that's not always easy to admit!). I'm also a keen golfer, enjoy having a laugh and have a great sense of humour. I should probably warn you that I don't always have a filter, so please don't take offence! I'm looking for a friendly, patient and understanding Personal Assistant who can help me build my confidence, get out and about more and enjoy activities outside the home. I'd really like to become more independent, try new things and feel more confident engaging with people and accessing the community. I'm looking for someone who will take the time to get to know me, understand how I communicate and support me to do things at my own pace.
What I'm looking for:
- Someone friendly, relaxed and with a good sense of humour.
- Someone who can encourage me to get out, enjoy activities and try new experiences.
- Someone who can help me build my confidence and independence without putting unnecessary pressure on me.
- Experience and a good understanding of neurodiversity and demand avoidance is essential.
- Someone patient and flexible who understands the importance of choice, control and doing things at my own pace.
- A car driver is essential to help me get out and access activities.
- You don't need to be a Newcastle United supporter, although it might help!
- Most importantly, I'm looking for someone I can get along with, have a laugh with and who will support me to build my confidence and independence.
- If you're understanding, reliable, have a sense of humour and enjoy helping people achieve their goals, I'd love to hear from you!
This vacancy will close as soon as a suitable candidate is appointed.
At the time of starting their employment, the successful candidate must have permission to work in the U.K.
