Personal Assistant

I am looking to employ a Personal Assistant to support me in accessing the social activities that I enjoy., Any other duties to be discussed and mutually agreed between yourself and your employer.

I'm looking for a PA for my 33-year-old son who lives with me in Efail Isaf, RCT. He's a fluent Welsh speaker. He has Muscular Dystrophy (which is a slowly degenerative condition) but is able to walk independently with the aid of a stick. He also has some learning difficulties. Despite his condition he is always happy, although he does lack confidence and needs to form a good relationship with a PA to help him with this. He loves all genres of music, gaming and chatting but is looking for someone to share some time with. He has a good sense of humour and enjoys cooking and eating good food, the garden, and getting out and about in the car., A person who respects and understands the importance of my privacy and confidentiality of working in someone else's home

Able to work Independently and on their own initiative to previously agreed criteria

Be willing to undertake any training identified as relating to the post e.g. Manual Handling Course, Basic First Aid

Car owner/driver essential

This position is subject to satisfactory references and a DBS Disclosure (Police Check), which must be completed prior to the commencement of employment. The cost of this check will be covered by the Local Authority.

All necessary checks will be conducted to verify that any candidate has the legal right to work in the UK before employment begins.

Although this is a part-time role, it is a legitimate position requiring the submission of a National Insurance number. Employment will commence under an initial trial period.

Wages will be paid on a monthly basis and appropriate holiday pay will be provided.
