I'm a 50-year-old man with a spinal cord injury and a full-time wheelchair user, looking for a reliable, caring and practical Personal Assistant to help me manage my day-to-day life.

The role involves early morning starts, assisting with personal care, food preparation and general everyday tasks, as well as helping with anything unexpected that may come up.

I'm looking for someone who is trustworthy, patient, respectful and happy to get stuck in. Experience in care or support work is helpful, but a positive attitude and willingness to learn are just as important.

Duties include:

• Personal grooming


• Moving and handling


• Other relevant duties as required


• Housekeeping


• Cooking


• Gardening


• Dressing / undressing


• Bathroom assistance

Candidate qualities:

• Respectful of the employer's privacy and confidentiality


• Reliable with good timekeeping


• Hygienic, tidy and well organised


• Fit and healthy to undertake the required duties


• Honest and cheerful


• Able to speak and read English to a reasonable standard


• Able to always work to high standards of health & safety

Additional requirements

• Non-smoker due to medical reasons, Vulnerable to the risk of infection and disease transmission
