Full Job Description
We are looking for a friendly, reliable and patient Personal Assistant / Support Worker to support a young lady to build confidence and independence with everyday life skills. The role will focus on encouraging her to access the community safely, develop practical skills, and take part in activities she enjoys. Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Support and encourage the young lady to develop everyday life skills in a calm and positive way.
- Help her learn how to use public transport safely and confidently, including planning journeys and understanding routes.
- Support her with shopping tasks, including making lists, budgeting, choosing items and paying for purchases.
- Encourage participation in community activities, such as visiting cafes and local places of interest.
- Support her interests in gardening, home crafts and archery where appropriate.
- Promote independence, confidence, choice and dignity at all times.
- Provide gentle encouragement, reassurance and practical support while allowing her to do as much as possible for herself.
