Full Job Description
We're looking for some friendly and reliable Personal Care Assistants to support me in my daily life.,
- · Assisting with personal care tasks such as bathing, toileting and dressing
I am a 18 year old young woman, who is a full-time wheelchair user, with complex needs; I have a really rare genetic condition (Glutaric Aciduria Type 1), dystonia, unvoluntary movements, severe scoliosis, dislocated right hip, coeliac disease. I have good mental capacity and studying for A level. I am PEG fed (blends), but I do eat orally too. I am nonverbal. I use an AAC device to communicate with people around me, do my schoolwork and interact with the outside world. I enjoy the cinema, going bowling, playing boccia (paralympic sport), going to the theatre, meeting my friends out and about, watching TV and I love going shopping and watching/going to football matches. I'm looking for some people who can help me maintain my independence and enjoy my favourite activities., - · Previous experience in a caregiving role is preferred but not essential. · Experience with SEN preferred but not essential · Be able to drive (a wheelchair accessible vehicle) · Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. · Patience, empathy, good sense of humour and a positive and fun attitude. · Ability to work independently and as part of a team. · Reliable and punctual. Please note that this role may be subject to a DBS check, your employer may also ask for you to supply references. You must be able to prove the right to work in the UK. No sponsorships are available.

We support people with a disability or long-term health condition to live independently and retain control of their lives within the community. We are not the person that you will work for. You will work for the individual or family that we are supporting.
Hours: Saturdays, Sundays, evenings and school holidays - start and finish times to be discussed (flexible) - Weekdays available from June 2026 Pay: £17.48 per hour Job Type: Part time
