You will support her in developing her social skills and help her build confidence. The role is to befriend and offer companionship with a view to extending her support network It is desirable that the personal assistant will be expected to use their own car /car to take my daughter to social activities. Her needs may vary from day to day and your tasks may reflect this. You could be required to perform other duties as reasonably required. The person they are looking for I am seeking someone who has a calm and caring nature, patience and some knowledge or experience of supporting individuals with disabilities. I require someone who is committed and motivated in wanting to make a difference and improving outcomes for my daughter You should be outgoing, energetic, friendly, patient and enthusiastic which will support her to develop his social skills and help build her confidence. You should be enthusiastic and have an ability to promote and assist individuals in developing hobbies and interests outside of the home, including peer relationships in a social environment. Car owner and full valid driving license is desirable (business insurance required) Due to the nature of the work for which you are applying, this post is subject to a satisfactory DBS disclosure (costs will be covered).,
- Support and/or prompt the individual to access sporting and leisure activities.
- Assist and encourage socialisation, participating in activities.
- Promote and encourage friendships and independence.
- Develop a good and trusting one to one working relationship. The individuals needs may vary from day to day and your tasks may reflect this. You could be required to perform other duties as reasonably required. You have a responsibility as an employee to report all accidents to the employer immediately. You have a duty to report defects and / or hazards which may give rise to an accident. You are to ensure the safety of the individual at all times.

I am both the employer and mother to my daughter who has been allocated 6 hours per week PA support during school holidays via direct payment. My daughter Autism (ASD), and is nonverbal, however, can say the odd word. I am seeking a PA to work alongside us as a family to provide my daughter with 1-1 support to access social activities within the community and provide me with a break from my caring role. My daughter is nonverbal however; she can communicate using the odd word she can communicate her needs and wants by leading by hand when she wants to go somewhere. My daughter enjoys being active She loves the outdoors, swimming/water play, trampoline parks, going for walks and accessing sensory activities or venues. She is able to manage her personal care with prompt, however at times may require assistance or personal care if she had an accident when out. Careful planning of activities would be recommended as she does not manage well in loud or busy environments. My daughter has
