I am a fun-loving young lady in my twenties living at home with my family, including two very friendly cats and a puppy! I am currently looking to recruit a team of PAs to deliver 2:1 person-centered care and support, and help me live my life to the full. I have a diagnosis of Rett Syndrome and Epilepsy, which impacts my motor functions, communication and cognitive abilities. I have complex health care needs which require clinical support, so my Personal Assistants must be confident in their ability to provide safe and nurturing care. I require 2:1 support with all aspects of my daily living, which includes personal care, feeding, medication administration and moving and handling. A key part of the role is to enable me to safely access activities at a Day Centre five days a week, and to access the community at weekends. It is vital for my well-being that you connect with me by using all my forms of communication. My family are very friendly and my Mum will be a great source of support, so my team will have a very positive and supportive working environment. ABOUT YOU The ideal candidate will be fun-loving, energetic, committed, reliable, possess a can-do attitude, and have a positive and very caring nature. You must bring much enthusiasm to the role and possess excellent communication skills. It is essential that my PAs are female, because of the nature of the role. Experience in complex care and Learning Disabilities is essential, but a very caring and nurturing nature is more important than experience, because full training will be provided. A full UK driver's license is essential, and you must feel comfortable in driving a mobility adapted vehicle. Non-smokers essential, for my respiratory health.
Solo Support Services recognises that everyone has the right to be safe from abuse and neglect. We will actively promote the safety, health and well-being of everyone in our care by fostering an honest, open, caring and supportive climate within the organisation. We believe that safeguarding is everyone's responsibility.
BENEFITS In return for your dedication, you'll receive a competitive rate of pay in addition to:
- 5.6 weeks holiday per year (pro-rata for part-time positions).
- Company pension scheme after 3 months' service, subject to the scheme rules.
