Permit Issuer

Act as an authorised Permit Issuer for project-related activities including maintenance, construction, engineering and contractor works.

-Review, authorise and issue permits in accordance with the site Permit to Work procedure, ensuring all supporting documentation is suitable and sufficient.

-Maintain a strong and visible Gemba presence through regular field assurance activities, workplace inspections and safety engagements.

-Monitor active permits, coordinating permit suspension, extension and closure activities whilst ensuring compliance with permit controls.

-Support contractors and project teams in understanding permit requirements, safe systems of work and GSK site expectations, whilst promoting a positive safety culture.

Experience operating within a Permit to Work system.

-Experience within a pharmaceutical, manufacturing, engineering, construction or highly regulated environment.

-Strong understanding of Safe Systems of Work, contractor control processes, risk assessment and hazard identification.

-GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics.

-Demonstrable experience within a safety-critical operational environment.
