Join us in promoting mental health and delivering holistic maternity care that supports women and their families through their most transformative experiences., This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development and delivery of high-quality midwifery services, focusing on the needs of women whose lives are impacted by poor mental health. Key responsibilities include:
- Providing tailored midwifery care to women with mental health needs, ensuring safe, evidence-based practices.
- Identifying deteriorations in mental health and liaising with appropriate partner agencies for timely intervention.
- Delivering health education and social care advice to reduce health inequalities and promote well-being for women and families.
- Collaborating with the multidisciplinary team and external agencies to ensure seamless and effective care.
- Supporting safeguarding practices, making considered judgments to protect the welfare of unborn and newborn babies.
- Assisting in staff training, development, and audit initiatives to continuously improve maternity services.
A commitment to delivering compassionate, high-quality care tailored to the mental health needs of women. - Experience in midwifery, with a focus on mental health or vulnerable populations.
- Strong communication skills to build robust, effective networks within the Trust and with external agencies.
- A proactive approach to self-development and continuous learning.
- Knowledge and application of safeguarding principles to ensure the safety and well-being of women and their babies.
