Performance Officer

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Birmingham City Council's PFI Contract Services team as a Senior Performance Officer. In this key role, you will support the effective management and performance monitoring of highway maintenance and management contracts, helping to ensure service providers deliver high-quality services that meet contractual obligations and performance standards. Working closely with the Principal Performance Officer, you will analyse performance data, monitor contract compliance, and provide management information that supports decision-making and continuous service improvement. • Monitor and analyse service provider performance against contractual requirements.
• Produce performance reports and management information to support contract management and payment processes.
• Audit and verify performance data, identifying underperformance and recommending appropriate remedial actions.
• Support the management of contract compliance and service delivery standards.
• Monitor service provider programmes, proposals, reports, and associated performance information.
• Help maintain effective systems, processes, and data management arrangements to support contract administration.
• Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to resolve operational and performance issues.
• Contribute to performance improvement initiatives and support the delivery of excellent customer-focused services.
  
  Experience in performance reporting, data analysis and identifying opportunities for service improvement.
• Experience working within a performance-driven, contract management, infrastructure or public sector environment.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret financial, statistical and technical information.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including report writing and stakeholder engagement.
• Strong IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel, and the ability to use data to support decision-making and improve processes.
• A collaborative and customer-focused approach, with the ability to build effective working relationships across a range of stakeholders.
• A relevant professional qualification or equivalent experience.
