People Portal Transformation Facilitator

The NHS People Portal Transformation Programme is a national initiative that will replace the Electronic Staff Record (ESR) with a modern, cloud-based workforce platform across NHS organisations in England and Wales. The programme will standardise workforce processes, improve user experience and support national workforce priorities.

East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced change professional to support the local implementation of the NHS People Portal. The postholder will lead business process change, organisational readiness and benefits realisation activities, helping the Trust adopt new ways of working and maximise the benefits of the new system.

Reporting to the Transformation Lead, the role will work closely with NHSBSA implementation teams, supplier partners and colleagues across People Services, Digital, Finance and operational services. Key responsibilities include assessing change impacts, supporting process redesign, engaging stakeholders and driving adoption across the organisation., This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in transforming workforce management at East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust.

Develop a thorough understanding of how existing business processes across workforce management compare to the future solution, identifying where current ways of working will need to adapt to support and realise the benefits of the 'to be' model.

Coordinate inputs from stakeholders across the organisation to complete a comprehensive change impact assessment, capturing the effect of the new solution on people, processes, structures, and ways of working.

Facilitate stakeholder input into local configuration requirements and support alignment between organisational processes and solution design.

Develop and implement a plan to adapt business processes in preparation for the new solution, working with process owners to redesign workflows and embed new ways of working ahead of go-live.

Extract baseline data points to support benefits tracking by the national programme.

Work with operational and programme leads to support and coordinate benefits tracking, advocating for the consideration of priority benefits within broader organisational planning, decision-making, and improvement activities.

Support stakeholders across the organisation to shape the training and communications strategy for the programme.

The successful candidate will have experience delivering complex organisational change, strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, and the ability to build effective relationships at all levels to support successful transformation outcomes.
