People Operations Manager

requirements and benchmarking activitiesAct as the primary HR contact for payroll operations, working closely with Finance and external payroll providersEnsure payroll changes are processed accurately and efficientlyMaintain payroll controls, reconciliations and compliance with relevant legislationSupport and resolve complex payroll and employee relations queriesEnsure compliance with employment law, GDPR and internal policiesSupport internal and external audits relating to HR systems, payroll and workforce dataDeputise for the Head of People, providing leadership and operational oversight when requiredSupport the development and implementation of People policies and proceduresBuild strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partnersPromote diversity, equity and inclusion through fair and consistent people practices

Requirements:CIPD qualified or equivalent HR experienceSignificant experience leading People Operations, HR Shared Services or HR Operations functionsStrong HR systems experience, including system implementation, administration and optimisationProven experience managing payroll processes and outsourced payroll providersStrong understanding of employment legislation and HR compliance requirementsDemonstrable experience driving process improvements and operational efficienciesPrevious team management experience within a customer-focused environmentStrong stakeholder management and communication skillsAnalytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insightsExperience using iTrent or a similar HRIS is highly desirableExperience within the education, charity, arts or not-for-profit sectors would be advantageous
