People & OD Advisor

Guided by our values of being Ambitious, Collaborative and Inclusive, we work together to make a positive difference for children, young people and communities every day, We are looking for an experienced People & OD Advisor to join our People Team, providing practical and professional advice and support across a portfolio of schools and business areas. Working closely with leaders and managers, you will build effective relationships, provide coaching and constructive challenge, and support the delivery of effective and consistent people management. Key areas of the role include:

• Independently managing a varied employee relations caseload, providing advice across a broad range of people matters.
• Supporting organisational change, consultation processes and liaison with trade unions.
• Providing advice and support on the employment aspects of safeguarding concerns and allegations.
• Monitoring and supporting safer recruitment and Single Central Record compliance within allocated areas.
• Using workforce information and reporting to identify trends, risks and areas for intervention.
• Contributing to People projects, policy development, employee engagement and continuous improvement across the Trust.
This is a varied role suited to someone who is confident working independently, enjoys building relationships and can provide pragmatic, professional People advice while recognising when matters require escalation
