Our services include registered care homes; supported living; community outreach; day services, including pathways to employment; children and young people's groups and support; specialist support; and free online support for families and carers across the South-East. The People Assistant will provide quality, accurate information, guidance, and support to all employees and volunteers throughout their employee life cycle at Aspens. This includes supporting engagement, development, retention and exit activities as well as managing systems, responding to queries and supporting People (inclusive of Recruitment) and volunteering and operations. We pride ourselves in enabling others to learn and grow, and we would provide full training and support to the People Assistant, so that they can make a success of the role. · Ability to work accurately, with attention to detail · Awareness of employment legislation, policies, regulations · Knowledge of how the People Department contributes to the overall organisational goals · Demonstrable experience of working in a high performing team and working with confidential information. · Experience of working with colleagues across different departments and locations · Strong IT skills, with experience of HR systems and Microsoft office products · Excellent problem solver, demonstrating empathy and creativity · Ability to prioritise, meet deadlines and multitask in a fast-paced professional environment · Strong team player essential · Excellent written and verbal communication skills · Willingness to learn and develop Driver's licence with access to a car ideally
Location: Home-based, with 1 day a week in the office (Battle or Pembury) or a service. Contracted Hours, 12 months Fixed term, Full time -37 hours per week (Mon-Fri) Salary: £24,500 per annum FTE Maternity Cover expected to last up to 12 months. The exact duration may vary depending on return date of the post holder,
