Pensions Officer

We have opportunities for two Pension Officers, to work within our in house Pensions Team. Your key responsibilities will include;

• Day to day administration of the LGPS and calculating all types of benefits in accordance with Scheme Regulations.
• Interpreting complex legislation.
• To provide support on all project work as required such as, annual benefit statements, pensions increase, end of year processes, valuation etc., We offer a hybrid working environment for our staff where you will work 3 days a week from our modern offices at Laurence House in Catford and 2 days a week from home.

We are looking for competent candidates with a background in pensions. The successful candidates will have experience of administering a final salary pension scheme and a CARE scheme. You will be self-motivated, possess good communication and numeracy skills and have good attention to detail. Above all you will be highly focused, taking responsibility for providing a high quality and efficient service. You should have a good working knowledge of defined benefit pension schemes and working knowledge of the LGPS and pension administration system, Altair, would be an advantage. For this role you will have a strong understanding of the challenges and opportunities of using technology, as well as a commitment to Equality of Access and Opportunity in a diverse community.
