Pensions Specialist - 12 Month ContractLocation: London (Hybrid - 2 days onsite, Tuesdays mandatory)Rate: £33.93 per hour (Umbrella)
OverviewAn opportunity has arisen for an experienced Pensions Specialist to support the delivery and transition of LGPS administration within a large public sector Shared Services environment.This role will focus on delivering high-quality pension administration and embedding sustainable processes for long-term service delivery.
Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver end-to-end LGPS administration (starters, leavers, retirements, estimates)Perform complex pension calculations, including CARE schemesManage and resolve technical LGPS queriesReview submissions to third-party administratorsWork closely with Payroll and HR teamsProduce and maintain process documentation and guidanceSupport stakeholder engagement and service transition into BAU
Essential RequirementsRecent, hands-on LGPS administration experience (essential)Strong knowledge of full pension lifecycle processingExperience using LGPS systems/portalsConfident handling complex calculations and queries independently
DesirableExperience in HR Shared ServicesPublic sector or local authority backgroundStrong attention to detail and process improvement experience
