Summary
To work as one team providing a safe, modern, efficient and effective Emergency Medicine service to the Leicester Royal Infirmary, University Hospitals of Leicester (UHL) NHS Trust; and to deliver the highest quality of emergency care to the population of Leicester and the surrounding county (catchment population around 1 million). . The main duties and responsibilities of this post are to: - Carry out initial assessments, investigations and manage patients in the Childrens Emergency Department - Supervise junior trust grade doctors clinically in the department - Participate in teaching for junior medical staff and nursing staff - Admit and discharge patients safely from the Childrens Emergency Department - Ensure a safe and high standard of care of all patients in the Childrens Emergency Department - Work flexibility between all areas of the department. - Participate in the running of the department.
