Full Job Description

We are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity to join our specialist pelvic health team. This role will support the delivery of a new pelvic health pathway pilot in the Gosport locality, supporting innovative system and pathway redesign, delivering true left shift care that improves access, experience and outcomes for patients. You will join an established Specialist Pelvic Health Physiotherapy Service, working closely with the Community Bladder and Bowel Service as part of a strong, multidisciplinary team. While professionally aligned to pelvic health physiotherapy, this is a genuinely MDT focused role with opportunities to influence service development across organisational boundaries.,

  • To be professionally and legally accountable for all aspects of own clinical practice, including the management of patients.
  • To be able to provide specialised assessment and treatment for patients with diverse Pelvic Health needs, and to provide advice, guidance and information to patients, health and social care professionals, carers and relatives.
  • To act as a skilled physiotherapy resource for the Pelvic Health service and multi-disciplinary team in the specialism of pelvic health outpatients. Linking with the MSK Service, Community Bladder & Bowel Service and secondary care providers (obstetrics and gynaecology, colorectal, urology and dermatology).
  • To ensure appropriate management of patients within the Pelvic Health pathways liaising with all other health professionals to ensure the quality-of-care delivery.
  • To supervise and teach recently qualified physiotherapist / assistant and participate in student placement management as required
  • To contribute to pelvic health education/training, audit and research projects within relevant services to ensure on-going clinical effectiveness.
