About you You will: Be passionate about improving the lived experience and health of people using mental health services Have proven knowledge of support needs of people with mental health needs Be able to work independently Be able to travel to outreach appointments Draw on and share lived experience What we offer To be part of a friendly team, with direct support from a Line Manager In-depth induction to Second Step and all the relevant training and support you need to do your job well. Blended working a combination of home, office and community-based working Monthly one-to-one sessions with your line manager Monthly group reflective practice with your wider team Weekly Team meetings, We are recruiting a Peer Recovery and Wellbeing Worker to join our Peer Suicide Prevention Service in Mendip, supporting clients in the community. We are committed to working with arecovery-based approachand supporting people to meet their individual needs. Why not join our team to support our clients on their recovery journey by: Offering 1-2-1 client support A committment to enabling recovery for everyone Drawing on and sharing lived experience Helping people reclaim their identity; regaining a positive sense of self, of who they are beyond mental health difficulties and to overcome stigma Contributing to the co-production of individual care and recovery plans Helping people develop personal empowerment; regaining control over their life, focusing on strengths and taking personal responsibility for their recovery. As this role is community-based across the Mendip area of Somerset, and with some travel across the county, the successful applicant will need to be a driver with access to
a vehicle. The role is advertised at 2 days a week with flexibility around working days, to be agreed with the successful candidate.
