Potters Bar (EN6) | Hybrid Working | £28,288 + Salary Review After Probation | 34-Hour Week | Office hours Have you worked with Direct Payments, Personal Health Budgets, Personal Budgets, in Social, Care or Healthcare setting in administration, payroll or finance and are looking for a role where you can genuinely make a difference? We're recruiting on behalf of a specialist organisation that supports service users and carers across the UK by managing funded payroll and payment services. Their work helps ensure individuals receive the support they need, and carers get paid accurately and on time, making this a rewarding opportunity to join a business where people are always at the heart of the service., This is a varied position combining administration, payroll support, client service and financial processing. You'll work closely with colleagues, carers, service users and clients across the UK, providing support primarily by telephone and email. Accuracy is important, but equally important is your ability to offer a professional, helpful and empathetic service. Typical responsibilities include:
- Processing payroll and payment-related administration
- Maintaining accurate client and financial records
- Responding to telephone and email enquiries
- Supporting carers and service users with payroll and payment queries
- Updating systems and documentation
- Ensuring information is processed accurately and efficiently
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to manage workloads and deadlines Training & Support You don't need to know everything on day one. A comprehensive induction programme will be provided, including approximately 4 to 6 weeks of office-based training where you'll spend time observing experienced colleagues and gaining practical hands-on experience. Following your induction, you'll move onto the team's hybrid working arrangement and continue to receive ongoing support and development. Who We're Looking For We'd particularly like to hear from candidates who have accounts and admin experience having worked within:
- Direct Payments services
- Personal Health Budgets
- Personal Budgets
- Adult Social Care
- Care homes
- Domiciliary care or home care agencies
- Local authority community care teams
- Healthcare
- Payroll, finance or accounts functions supporting care services specifically
You'll be naturally organised, calm under pressure and capable of managing a busy workload in a methodical way. This role would suit someone who enjoys helping people, is highly accurate and takes pride in delivering excellent service. You'll be sure to bring: - Administration, payroll, finance or accounts experience from the care industry or social services
- Knowledge of Direct Payments, care funding schemes or personal care budgets
- Strong organisational and prioritisation skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- A proactive and supportive approach
- Confidence working with multiple tasks and deadlines
Starting salary of £28,288 - Salary increase following successful completion of probation
- Hybrid working arrangement
- 34-hour working week
- Monday to Thursday: 9.00am to 5.00pm
- Friday: 9.00am to 4.00pm
- One-hour lunch break each day
- 20 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays
