Job Description

Salary range: Grade 8 £40,182-£42,060 p.a. plus fantastic benefits

Contract: Permanent

Hours of work: 36 hours per week

Location: Croydon

Croydon Council have a fantastic opportunity that has arisen and are looking for a Payroller to join our lovely in-house payroll department. The Corporate monthly payroll has 4000 employees and the monthly pensioner payroll has 9500 pensioners. If you have over 5yrs experience and passionate about payroll this is the job for you.

  • Must be able to manage high volumes of work against deadlines
  • You will continually be developed and trained according to new legislation and compliance but must already have a deep understanding of payroll regulations
  • Demonstrate great excel skills
  • Strong pension knowledge
  • Good communicator-written and verbal
  • Have a problem solving mindset, with a proactive and positive attitude
  • We offer hybrid working
  • 30 days holiday per year
  • We will not be offering sponsorship
