Full Job Description
Are you looking for a role where accuracy really matters and where you can make a genuine difference to people's day-to-day experience at work? If you enjoy solving problems, working with data and helping customers understand their pay, this could be a great fit for you. You'll join a friendly and committed payroll team within Transformative Business Services (TBS), where we take pride in delivering a reliable and trusted service. You'll be part of a supportive culture where colleagues share knowledge, help each other out, and work together to provide a great service to our customers. This role is hybrid, with the Newport office as your base, and you'll be in the office twice per week (Tue/Wed). What you'll be doing:
- Delivering accurate weekly and monthly payrolls within set deadlines and in line with legislation, terms and conditions and audit requirements.
- Investigating and resolving complex pay queries, ensuring customers understand changes that affect their pay.
- Validating temporary and permanent payroll changes, ensuring appropriate checking and control mechanisms are followed.
- Completing manual underpayments and overpayments accurately and raising payments where appropriate.
- Ensuring statutory, legislative and terms and conditions documentation is maintained, up to date and accessible to the wider team.
- Producing core payroll outputs for allocated payrolls, with the opportunity to support higher-level activities as required. What you'll bring:
- Experience in delivering high standard of Customer service.
- Excellent attention to detail and high-quality data input skills.
- Ability to prioritise workloads effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working with a high degree of accuracy.
- Ability to build positive working relationships and work effectively as part of a team. It would be great if you had:
- Experience working in payroll or finance.
- CIPP Payroll Technician certification or equivalent experience.
- Experience contributing to process improvements within payroll operations. If you're interested in this role but not sure if your skills and experience are exactly what we're looking for, please do apply, we'd love to hear from you! Although this role is advertised as full-time, we believe that flexibility at work can promote work/life balance, increase your motivation, reduce stress and improve performance and productivity. We support different ways of working and can offer a range of flexible working arrangements. So, if you're interested and need to work flexibly, we encourage you to apply and talk to us about what might be possible. Referral Bonus: £500.
