Patient Engagement Manager

We have an exciting opportunity for a Patient Engagement Manager to join the Health in Justice service at Practice Plus Group. You will work across the South and IRCs directorate which covers our prisons in the South of England and our Immigration Removal Centres at Gatwick, Heathrow and Derwentside. The Patient Engagement Manager is a directorate leadership role which focuses on ensuring that patients' voices are heard and used to improve healthcare services across our prisons. The role provides leadership to onsite Patient Engagement Leads and works closely with healthcare teams, prison staff, commissioners, and external partners., As a Patient Engagement Manager your responsibilities will vary. You will:

• Lead and support site-based Patient Engagement Leads across the directorate.
• Provide oversight of patient engagement activities and patient satisfaction initiatives.
• Act as a key point of contact for directorate teams, site leads, and external stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain effective relationships with prison staff, commissioners, and partner organisations.
• Ensure patient feedback is actively gathered, heard, and used to improve services.
• Oversee patient forums, peer-led groups, and engagement activities.
• Champion the Triangle of Care (Service User, Professional, Carer) standards.
• Ensure patients are involved in projects, service improvements, and training wherever possible.
• Lead processes for learning from patient compliments and complaints.
• Ensure complaints receive high-quality, timely responses.
• Identify and implement service improvements based on patient feedback.
• Support innovation and business development by involving patients in reviewing new initiatives.
• Oversee and develop the regional Health Champion peer support model.
• Deliver Health Champion training across the region.
• Promote best practice in peer support, patient involvement, and continuous quality improvement.
  
  GCSE English and Maths at Grade C/4 or above, or Functional Skills Level 2 in English and Maths.
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong organisational and prioritisation abilities.
• Commitment to high-quality patient care and customer service.
• Ability to advocate effectively for patients.
• Willingness to share relevant lived experience.

This position is full time working 37.5 hours per week. You will receive an annual salary of £50,000 to £60,000 per annum. How will we support you?
