The Patient EngagementLead Midwifeprovides expert leadership in maternity communications, digital engagement, and responsive midwifery advice services across our organisation.
You willdemonstratespecialist midwifery knowledge,advanced communication and relationship-building skillsand leadership inserviceimprovement. The roleoperateswithin broad professional policies and contributes to shaping communication pathways and service development related to public-facing maternity information.
Main duties of the job
The postholder will lead,coordinateand evaluate the Trust'sAsk a Midwifeservice -- a key channel for providingtimely, accessible,evidence basedmaternity advice through digital and telephone platforms. They will ensure the safety, consistency and quality of information shared with women, birthing people, and families, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary colleagues to standardise communication approaches aligned with nationaland local guidance.
The role provides professional leadership in digital maternity communication strategy, including supporting staff education on communication standards, promoting consistent messaging across maternity channels, and enhancing the service user experience through proactive engagement.
The postholder will also support quality improvement initiatives relating to maternity information, digital access, and communication safety, contributing to robust audit, learning, andservice developmentactivity in line with the new national emphasis
