An exciting opportunity has arisen for a treatment portfolio project manager to join the Surrey & Sussex Cancer Alliance (SSCA). This role will make a direct impact on improving cancer treatment pathways and patient outcomes across the region.The post holder will focus on improving access to treatment, delivering against national cancer performance standards, and enhancing patient experience. A key priority will be leading transformation within Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy (SACT) services.The successful candidate will manage a diverse portfolio of projects, using data-driven insights to support service redesign and deliver sustainable improvements across multiple organisations. Working in a complex, system-wide environment, you will collaborate with clinical and operational colleagues to drive meaningful change.Given the specialist nature of the role, experience in SACT, either from a clinical or operational background, is essential.We are looking for candidates who:Have experience, As a treatment project manager, you will work collaboratively across Surrey and Sussex and other referring regions to deliver safe, effective and timely access to treatment. The successful candidate will:Lead the development and implementation of treatment specific cancer pathwaysDeliver measurable improvements against all national cancer waiting time standardsLead complex transformation programmes across multiple NHS Trusts and partnersAnalyse and interpret complex data to inform service improvementsWork closely with clinical leads to improve quality, reduce variation, and enhance patient outcomesEngage and influence stakeholders across the NHS, ICSs, primary care, and third sectorThis role requires a confident and adaptable individual who can operate effectively in a fast-paced, multi-organisational environment.

The Surrey and Sussex Cancer Alliance is a partnership that brings together leaders from NHS Trusts, integrated care systems and other health organisations across a population of approximately 3.6 million people. The job holder will be based in SSCA office's in Guildford but will be expected to regularly travel to trusts or meetings within the Surrey and Sussex geography and potentially other referring regions, as agreed with the Programme Managers and Clinical Leads., Royal Surrey is a compassionate and collaborative acute and community Trust.
