As a support to our clinical workforce within the Divisions you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our hospital wards. Your efforts will directly contribute to the well-being and comfort of our patients, making you an integral part of their healthcare journey., Patient administration underpins the patient journey and supports clinical teams in delivering high quality patient care and can make a real difference to the patient experience. Effective and efficient patient administration supports management through ensuring a high standard of data quality and by making the best use of capacity and resources. The post holder has responsibility for the provision of a professional, comprehensive and efficient administrative service, which is effectively delivered to all patients and members of the Department. This will be through the delivery of a comprehensive administrative service to a specialty team. This will involve providing a full administration service to the consultant team and taking responsibility for managing the whole patient pathway in line with the Elective Access policy., 1. Provide primary administrative support to all clinical staff, Primarily consultants and all patients under their care, Correspondence support and other administration duties as required. 2. Act as a first point of contact on the telephone and by email for patients, relatives, GPS and any other relevant agencies, answering or re-directing queries from elsewhere in the trust. 3. Ensure all relevant patient information, including the referral ,diagnostic results and other relevant correspondence is available is a timely manner. 4. Work closely with the wider administrative team and clinical staff to ensure patients are seen within the local and national access targets, expediting appointments and procedures as required, Assist the team leasers with managing patient tracking list (PTL) by monitoring all elements of the patient pathway, Including diagnostic investigation, correcting data quality issues and escalate any patients who cannot be seen within the relevant Elective Access targets. 5. Ensure all clinic letters are finalised and sent out in a timely manner., The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.

• Knowledge of NHS Trust Elective access Policy & RTT
• Educated to degree level or relevant experience.
