Pathology IT Administrator

The post holder willprovide administrative and first-line support for Pathology IT systems and associated reporting services across the North Midlands and Cheshire Pathology Service (NMCPS). The role contributes to the ongoing development of the wider N8 network.

The post holder will support the day-to-day operation of pathology information systems, user administration, data quality activities and report production. They will work closely with laboratory staff, Digital Services teams and system suppliers to ensure pathology systems operate effectively and that accurate information is available to support clinical services, operational management and regulatory requirements.

The post holder will also contribute to system testing, documentation, reporting, and UKAS accreditation activities under the supervision of senior Pathology IT staff., The successful candidate will be expected to work 37.5 hours Mon-Fri. Primary base for this role is at Royal Stoke University Hospital.

The Pathology IT Administrator is an office-based role that supports the clinical services of the hospital by providing timely access to Pathology results from a variety of sources as well as providing day to day support to the clinical teams and Path IT. The duties will bring the successful candidate into contact with clinicians, NMCPS staff, GP's and external stakeholders from multiple hospitals & healthcare organisations.

Pathology IT support LIMS systems in a timely manner thus preventing delays in patient care. The successful candidate will be trained on several IT systems.
