Pastoral Support Officer
Required for September 2026
Starting Salary - Point 16 (£31, 278 actual salary)
36 hours per week
Term Time plus two weeks
Langdon Academy are looking to appoint a Pastoral Support Officer to work within our pastoral team.
As a pastoral support officer, you will work closely with other members of the pastoral team to ensure that the needs of all students are met. The role has a wide remit, where you could be dealing with attendance issues, supporting a young person with accessing their education, or helping a student with day-to-day activities within the school.
You will also have some responsibilities for maintaining accurate records, working with staff, students and parents and where necessary with external agencies to ensure that students' receive first class pastoral support.
This is a demanding role and is not for the faint hearted. You will need to be resilient, a quick learner and able to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders. Confidentiality is of the utmost importance in this role.
